This item is an injection-plastic figure kit.  

Bandai purchased the tooling to the Nausicaa kits that were previously owned by Tsukuda Hobby. These older kits have been reengineered by Bandai to be snap fit items (molded in colour), and cleaned up all around! Though all the parts are molded in colour, paint will definitely improve the final product (though not necessary). Nausicaa and Teto will require paint; a sheet of decals with three sets of eyes for Nausicaa is included
