The story follows a group of eccentric parapsychologists who establish a ghost-catching business in New York City and soon find themselves confronting increasingly dangerous supernatural activity.

Slimer is one of the most recognizable ghosts from Ghostbusters. Haunting the Sedgewick Hotel with an apparently endless appetite, he raids room-service carts, tears through food, slips through walls, and leaves Peter Venkman drenched in ectoplasm. Classified by Ray Stantz as a “Focused, Non-Terminal, Repeating Phantasm” and a Class 5 Full-Roaming Vapor, Slimer becomes one of the Ghostbusters’ earliest and most memorable supernatural encounters.
